Great addition to the story, though Raphael was a lot different from the wooing lover that I came to know and love in the previous books. Playboy turned into jerk for awhile. But the story does go on and Ilona Andrews trademark dry humor is ever-present. I swear, it was like I just finished my last Kate Daniels book yesterday. This world has become so familiar and comfortable, I keep waiting for the magic wave to wipe out the technology and shut down my Nook. Andrea is a great side character, and she was also a fabulous leading 'lady' here. Her past is heartbreaking, and it was very cool to get to understand more of her background and what makes her so opposed to joining the pack...even when everyone she loves are members. I love the cover, also. Love how she looks fragile but tough as nails at the same time. I hope that this is a continuing trend, and the freaking AMAZING Andrews team will again write a book about more of their side characters. It just adds a depth to Kate and Curran that continues to fascinate me. Their group of badasses is ever expanding!
