Rajmund (Vampires in America)

Rajmund (Vampires in America #3) - D.B. Reynolds Rajmund is the epitome of what a hero should be. He has such confidence in himself that there is no need for cockiness so often found in the typical alpha male hero in the majority of paranormal romance. He simply knows his abilities and cares for his people. When the book opens, he is not the master of his territory. But he and Raphael both know a showdown is looming, and they both know Rajmund will be the one to come out on top. He meets Sarah when the two master vamps meet up. Cyn and Sarah are friends, and the attraction between Sarah and Rajmund is instant. But it's not a seedy, bow chicka wow wow type lustfest. The sexual tension is thick, and lasts for a veeery long time. The sexual payoff, however, is worth it. Hot damn, can Ms. Reynolds write a love scene! This series is simply amazing. It's so wonderfully original, I forget about all of the other myriad vampire series out there. While I'm reading these, its as if I've never read pnr, and it's like tasting chocolate for the first time. I am in love with Vampires in America. And though I loved Raphael, Rajmund is absolutely going onto my 'favorite heroes' shelf. He's drool-worthy, loyal to the core, and strong enough to stand beside Bones and Barrons, in my book.
