I loved this book! It was short but felt complete. Sir Griffin was introduced in the previous book, [b:The Ugly Duchess|11879737|The Ugly Duchess (Fairy Tales, #4)|Eloisa James|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1331726290s/11879737.jpg|16837919]. We know he left a wife behind in order to sail the seven seas and take up his pirating ways. We know he has a Poppy tattooed under his eye, and he named his ship the Flying Poppy, after his wife.More of their story is revealed and it turns out to be a sad yet somewhat humorous story. Griffin left because he is a member of the upper classes, raised to take the place of his father in the House of Lords. And there is nothing he wants less than to live a hoity-toity life of leisure. He wants adventure, he wants to thwart his father...and oh, yes...he embarrassed the hell out of himself on the night of his marriage, and ran off into the night. This entire novella is one big Happy Ending!!!!!!! Sometimes you just need a feel good love story in which everything works out...no one dies, no one is hurt, and every word leads to a wonderfully well-rounded conclusion. This was it, and I loved it!!
