There is something about this series that just pisses me off. Everyone seems to expect so much from Faythe. As if she should give up her life, marry her father's choice, and become a Stepford wife. They blame her for everything that goes wrong, regularly threaten to lock her up in a cage with a coffee can as a toilet. Then the old boyfriend comes back into the picture, and there is a whole new set of issues. Thing is, even though I'm ready to us MY claws on someone the entire time I'm reading, there is always just enough to hold my interest. The first hundred pages or so was pretty boring. But once I got into the meat of the story, it became a lot more suspenseful, and I kept reading for the next twist. And then the cliffhanger hits in the VERY LAST paragraph. So glad I'm reading this series when it's finished.
