Beast Behaving Badly (Pride Stories Series #5)

Beast Behaving Badly - Shelly Laurenston This had all the makings of another hilarious and original story by Laurenston. The lead H/h are loveable and fit in well with the other pack/pride members. And I hate to say it, but this series is becoming so much like every other pnr series out there, I'm starting to lose interest. It's beginning to go mainstream, I suppose, but the uniqueness is also fading. The crass/crude nature of the wolves in Magnus Pack is disappearing, and I'm sorry, but that was hilarious! I loved how the shifters all spoke their minds and weren't ashamed of their trashiness. It was original.I know I SHOULD have loved this. Blayne is a lot of fun. She's flighty and really energetic. She's like the little sister everyone wants...super sweet and ultra likeable. Bo is completely opposite. Very quiet and introverted, lives by the clock and really has no friends. But he can't stop staring at Blayne. Literally. He stares at her forever. It's how they meet, kinda sorta. She ends up running away screaming from this massive polar bear/lion shifter who scares her half to death with his piercing and unending stare. So they first become friends, and are just friends for a really...long...time. Long enough that I felt no chemistry. There was a decided lack of description of either of them, also. Other than the fact that Blayne is tiny and Bo is massive, the only thing we know is that Blayne is black and Bo has tawny hair. Laurenston lost the sexy somewhere. When the sex scene rolls around, it's really abrupt and awkward. Soooo, it was good. Not fabulous like the Magnus Pack series and the first couple of this series. But it was still good.
