The Mane Squeeze (Pride Stories Series #4)

The Mane Squeeze - Shelly Laurenston Loved Lock, loved Gwen! Ms. Laurenston's newer books seem to be a bit more mainstream than the older ones. Less smutty, which isn't always a good thing. I think a lot of readers (including me) expect some down-n-dirty. Not so much in this one. But it was still a really good book, one of my favorites so far. Gwen wasn't a royal beeyotch like Sissie or Ronnie were. And Lock was just perfect! An extremely huge, tough bear shifter (I love how he called Mitch and Brendan "those tiny kittens!) with a soft, sweet side (who plays with his toes when he is stressed, how much cuter can you get?). Protective but not smothering. The relationship between the two is wonderful. They complement each other. The Mane Squeeze was more romantic, I think, than the previous books. And we are also introduced to a few newbies that are to continue the storyline. Another great installment!
