Pleasures of a Notorious Gentleman

Pleasures of a Notorious Gentleman - Lorraine Heath 2.5 starsI just didn't really care for this one. It took me forever to get through, because I kept finding another book that held my interest more. I finally made myself sit down and finish it tonight. It was depressing and slow moving. There was almost no laughter or happiness other than the little boy. The side story of the brothers middle aged mother and her younger artist boyfriend is much more interesting than both of the main story lines that I've read so far. In fact, the only reason that I'll read the third in this trilogy is to see how that turns out. If only Ms. Heath would just put all of the tidbits from their romance into one book, I'd really get into it then! I didn't like either the Stephen or Mercy all that much. They both were very blah characters, and the interesting parts about them were either sad, disturbing, or depressing. I'm giving this three stars because towards the very end, there was a tiny bit of excitement that actually had me wanting to finish instead of feeling obliged to finish.
