Lord of the Vampires - Gena Showalter This was okay. A bit confusing and convoluted at times, though I like the idea behind the series. I thought it just seemed a bit rushed, like she skipped a lot of the details so she could hurry through to get to the end. It comes across as almost a fantasy world, with this different dimension full of mythical creatures. I'm assuming that the other three books in the series, with Nicolai's siblings, will delve a bit more into the details and conclusions to the storyline. Though since Nicolai is supposed to be the new king of his land, I almost think this one should have been saved for last, as a sort of finale. At the end of this book, he has his lady love, but not much resolution to his part of the story. Still worth the read!
